Hardware and Software are two basic concepts in the computer world.

TL; DR

Hardware is what you can throw kicks at.
Software is what you can only get angry with.

The Hardware

The hardware is basically the physical computer itself and the devices it make use of.
People also refert to it with hw.
It's the device you interact with, or the thing you can plug in the computer.
Like the monitor you're reading this from, or your computer's keyboard (the one you can touch).

The software

The software is represented by code instructions, that can instruct the computer's processor on how to do.
It can also found to be written as sw.
An example of software is the browser you are using right now (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Opera, Vivaldi, etc...).

Another example of software is also the virtual keyboard on your smartphone or tablet you type on. Being virtual, it is considered software.
Also, a more complex software is the Operating System.

This is my first post, so I guess some kind of introduction would be appreciated.

This wants to be a site where both me and other people, (a lot more) competent than me, can share notions, stories and guides, but, first of all, introduce novice people to the computer world and its domains.

I have found over the years that a lot of people struggle to find reliable resources, and this site, in its little, wants to contribute to satisfy this demand.

There are many other things I would like to write, even right here, but I think I written enough for this post.
